The Lapanagi are located near the left bank of Selinountas, opposite Makellaria, at an altitude of about 700 meters. It is on the border of the provinces of Kalavrita, Patras and Aigialia.

Opposite the rock of Makellaria, with the historic Monastery of the Assumption (532 AD), stand out the Lapanagi, a beautiful village in an idyllic natural environment, but with few inhabitants. On one side, Gerakovouni, a huge, steep rock, which rises like a wall, while in its folds the rainfall forms countless waterfalls, which turn into ice crystals and look like stalactites! Visit the Giftapidima, the fountain of Despotis, the Kafkaria, the fountain, the bridge, Panagia Katafigiotissa (accessible to a certain extent), and the church of the Assumption (1905), before sliding down the cliff!
